A Second Chance To Life : By Deliwe Mtungwazi
A Second Chance to life is not a piece of art by virtue of its genesis, its premise and purpose. It is not a fable for entertainment or a story to indulge our senses to escape from realities.
My Story-a second chance to life
I was born and raised in Bulawayo, second largest city of Zimbabwe, in Southern Africa. For further studies I went to University of Greenwich and completed a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Social Work. I have worked as a teacher and Social worker.
In November 2017 I however collapsed behind the wheel on my way from work and was rushed to PRUH intensive care unit. However, I was transferred urgently to Kings College University Hospital. I was in a coma for a month. I suffered a multiple organ failure, fell into a coma, and was on life support for one month. My condition quickly deteriorated and doctors declared “Do not resuscitate” which meant medically they did not believe I would pull through and survive.
While I was in a coma, I went to heaven and back. By the grace of God I survived the infection and eventually I came out of the coma. After intensive rehabilitation and interventions I came out of hospital six months later. Now I live to tell the story
A strong urge to know what had happened to me led me to start gathering information on my plight. Eventually I wrote a book: A Second Chance to Life!
- God is Real…if you “Believe”. All you have to do is “Believe”.
- Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
